    Enchanting statues allow to enchant shields only - no way to enchant weapons.
    Is that by design or is it bugged?

    heh. this actually bugged me in a dream, so I googled it now and it seems Enchanting Statues are serving its purpose and I gotta find Enchanting pool...though I recall seeing holy/unholy pools only.
